Tessitori Hall On 15 October 2012 the meeting Luigi Pio Tessitori: An Italian life dedicated to India took place at the Italian Embassy Cultural Centre in New Delhi. The initiative was promoted by the Office of the Scientific Attaché of the Embassy of Italy in New Delhi and Società Indologica “Luigi Pio Tessitori” in Udine. After addresses of welcome by Giacomo Sanfelice Di Monteforte, Ambassador of Italy, there were speeches by Furio Honsell, Mayor of Udine, Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Udine, Fausto Freschi, President of the Società Indologica «Luigi Pio Tessitori», and Nayanjot Lahiri, Professor at the University of Delhi. At the end the Tessitori Hall of the Italian Embassy Cultural Centre has been officially inaugurated. |
